VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

 RESTORATION OUTREACH
IS SEEKING VOLUNTEERS


     Restoration Outreach (RO) has purchased a building just north of Saginaw, Michigan to renovate into the first homeless shelter dedicated to housing persons convicted of sex crimes (registrants).  

     The goal of RO is to help registrants reintegrate back into society.  Purchasing this building is only the first step in a long journey to realize this goal.

     As part of our efforts to reintegrate registrants back into society, we will be taking residents boating, hiking, sailing, canoeing and kayaking, to the beach and on other excursions in order to help them get back to socializing and constructively participating in society again.  We already have several boats and sailboats dedicated to this project.  We already have a 40 foot sailboat project on shelter property for residents to restore.  Once this sailboat is restored, we will have an ocean capable vessel.

     We will assist residents in getting proper identification and their drivers licenses.

     Once the shelter is complete, we will have employment opportunities for residents.  We are working with area newspapers to set up an advertising sales department.  Residents will be employed in advertising sales and possibly even news reporting.

     We will be teaching select residents how to do legal research so they can help attorneys fight these unconstitutional laws in court.  This will also allow them to gain marketable skills for future employment.

     Residents who prove that they are good tenants will be moved into more permanent housing.  We will be helping responsible residents to purchase their own homes or lots to build homes on giving them the equity that they need to help restore their credit and rebuild their lives.

     Our project is real and it is happening.  We need your help in order to bring this project to fruition.  The building is there.  All we need is you.  We are seeking people with carpentry, plumbing and electrical experience to volunteer to help restore this building.
